We’re here at the introduction of the new Yamaha YZF r3 this is an upgraded version of the company’s entry-level. Yamaha r3 sportbike for 2019 it comes with a series of innovations and improvements that really take what was very good. Ultra lightweight sport bike and makes it significantly better bike in this class has an inverted front fork.

This is a 37 millimeter KYB unit significantly stiffer in spring compression and rebound damping than its predecessor. We also see a significantly revised styling package of the bike. Now much more closely resembles in the lineup especially in the Yamaha YZF r6. The dashboard new handlebars and the riding interface is significantly changed from last year. It’s much better the riding position is compromised comfortable.

The vibration is virtually non-existent the engine and the transmission package is unchanged but that was pretty well last year. Anyway, that didn’t need any upgrades and a bike this light flicks easily. It stays stable on its side and if you’ve got the Rebbe’s high enough it’ll come out of the corner plenty fast enough. For any two-lane twisty road like the ones that were on here in Southern California.

The fork upgrades the styling upgrades the dash upgrades all of those things cost money. What doesn’t cost money I should say is this motorcycle 2019 is priced at the exact same MSRP as the 2018 model. What’s really struck me is how good a motorcycle. It is not just how good an entry-level motorcycle it is but how good a motorcycle it is. Road racing world and motorcycle technology magazine thanks for listening.
