It’s May of 2019 and for about the last three years I’ve had more or less the same stable of motorcycles. I feel like I’m ready for something new fresh so today we’re gonna go pick it up. Alright ladies and gentlemen we are on our way down to Montgomeryville cycle center. I feel bad I’m with my Suzuki GSX R1000 dealership that I try to buy everything. Scott’s does not have this Suzuki GSX R1000 motorcycle for sale. It’s set Montgomeryville so you got to go where it is. I got Damien in tow and Ryan behind that in our ground support vehicle. My brain is mush today so apologies for the rambling just got the segmental checklist rolling on my head Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

I put the bike mostly back to stock so it’s so weird you can’t even hear it. It’s so quiet doesn’t seem to run any worse though so it’s definitely strange not being able to hear it. They’re not going to give me a whole lot for this bike. They’re not probably not gonna give me more than like $4,200 for this bike. I put everything back to stock or as close to it as I could literally all I have on this bike. I couldn’t put back the stock is the turn signals and the fender eliminator. I just don’t have those components to throwback on it.

I’m hoping to recoup like maybe a thousand dollars out of the parts. I had such a short window to try and sell this as it is for I think I was asking six but you know I didn’t get any bites on it. I’m just gonna trade it in that’ll offset my taxes it’ll cut the price of this bike almost in half. I’m never gonna miss this thing it’s all the torque you could ever want. It’s upright it’s a little more comfortable for longer rides the type of riding that I’m doing most of the time. When you see what we’re what I’m getting myself into it’s not gonna make sense. Immediately you know compared to this bike but I have to give up something. I’m not ready to get rid of the r6 yet so before I say too much.

We just pull here we are taking my key to say goodbye to the bike. My only regret I said I could have ridden it just a little bit more. One utility you guys ready I bought it when I picked up the fzo 9 out of storage. I was talking about it and it was burning in the back of my mind. They’re giving him away for 10 grand left over brand-new I just couldn’t say no. So we’re gonna get on the road and do the first ride on this and head home. Actually go for a ride or anything but I’m such an asshole we came all the way down here with the FZ and I forgot the title for the FZ. This is like 45 minutes from my house so alright first startup here.

The throttle is very responsive we’re gonna go b-mode and leave traction control at level four and see how that is. Then I’ll switch to a mode feel like it halfway back. This is my first Suzuki I’ve never owned a Suzuki so like I was anticipating the break coming from sportbike. The break does just doesn’t feel as good because I have a Brembo on. The r6 feels pretty smooth I have not ridden this spike yet so you’re along for the ride. The very first mile is that I’m putting on this thing. I mean coming from an r6 which you guys know that’s just a track bike. This isn’t quite as comfortable as my f09 obviously but coming from the r6 you know a similar platform bike a sportbike.

This actually is about as comfortable as you can get on a sportbike. I dare say even more comfortable than my initial impressions in the 99. You know Honda being the way they set up their ergonomic some most of their bikes are just great street bikes. Obviously coming from an MCO 9 the suspension on this feels a lot stiffer by comparison because the fzo 9 is known for being squishy so some of the details on This Montgomeryville had them on sale for you know is the MSRP for this bike. They were selling them for ten so I traded the FCO nine in stock trim for about forty-two hundred. I think the final trade price was like forty-four hundred for the FZ which is kind of disappointing. It almost cut this payment in half so for the time being I’m just gonna try and bankroll some money on to it. I get paid down or off as soon as possible and potentially build this into a track-only over the winter.

Then I will replace the f09 with some other cheap Street bike maybe like a drz 400 next for next season. It stands now Sierra doesn’t want to go track I’ve already got some parts on order. So you know ten grand for the bike and you get a free Yoshi amore. A slip-on so it takes care of that massive freaking drop ship to my house which is exciting. Hopefully, it’s not too long before that shows up and what was I talking about. I’m just like anxious getting on the highway now haven’t felt anything – crazy as of yet. It just feels like a regular bike it’s actually very smoothly controlled like a lot of the reviews. You know because I couldn’t ride this before buying it which I know – a lot of people probably sound crazy. I don’t know of a dealership around me you ride supersport bikes just because their insurance doesn’t cover. I’m trying to say is that this feels like as far as sportbikes goes this feels like really comfortable.

This thing goes like stink the hype is real and that’s the model. The hype is absolutely real granted I don’t have a whole lot of seat time on literbikes. I have ridden sockies r1 but I didn’t get to even pull on it like that. This feels at least as good as my buddy Trevor cx-10 which I wrote two years ago. The high note at 185 horsepower at the time that I rode. It was a pushing out 185-horsepower but this is serious in power. I lost Ryan I don’t know where he’s at right now. I know that Cobalts got more stink that I don’t know. Initial impressions no regret I’m not sure how to say you know what I was expecting but this meets or exceeds. They didn’t know everything that I was expecting out of this bike.

The time I was worried about going from the f09 getting on to something like this. I’d be shooting myself in the foot for all his three rides but so far this isn’t bad at all you. There’s you’re just gonna deal with the tired wrist and the soar apps from trying to support yourself. I mean this is such a comfortable machine so far tell you what though. These sport bikes are off a lot more heat when you’re sitting then. The FZ did you know naked bikes just are able to get rid of that heat and not throw it at you. Much better than all this heats coming out of these fairings. I don’t mine the hot is a new anthem starting to see a lot more of those on the road. I built that’s what I do for work case anybody didn’t know to go on five years at Mack trucks.

The deal and having to run back and forth to get the title. I just found myself with a lot less time and a lot less mental clarity. I hoped to have for the first ride in a review so it. A few more things on the bike first of all styling I wanted to get off the bike and look at it. Style-wise kind of go over some things that I like and dislike about it just like a lot of the more modern bikes. These days you know as I look at the bike from front to back. There are just so many angles to look at the thing from know front end. Wise styling it definitely looks like the quintessential GSX it’s good stuff you can tip it until it falls in line. The family you know I definitely like the way it looks especially in race trim. The moto America bikes you know Josh herons and Tony elias’s bikes you know.
