This is Duda on a very belated moto vlog. It has been nearly a year since I have done a motovlog so I apologize about that. I actually had one planned for December but the floors got corrupted and I wasn’t able to really put it out. I was kind of bummed about that but it is July first and it is almost a year since I have owned my beloved 2018 Suzuki GSX R750. I thought it would be a good idea to maybe do a one-year review to kind of highlight how I felt about the Suzuki GSX R750 bike.
As you look at the tach right there I have done nearly 4,300 miles on the bike. It does not have a huge amount of miles for the first year but enough that you can tell that I love this bike. I try to ride whenever I can considering I’ve been at school. If you guys have to notice I’ve done a few mods. I’ll do a walk around a little bit later to kind of show you what all I’ve done. As you can see I’ve removed the ugly mirrors that were used to be right there and replace them with these Knights boromir’. They’re for their black mirrors they work really well still getting used to them. I do have a convex type of shape so objects are really a lot closer than what they appear in the mirror. Greater visibility and I don’t really have my body taking up the majority of the space. They’re really nice relaxing music I’ve also done a fender eliminator kit which actually you guys already see it.
I just wanted to note that I did the fender eliminator. I do get a lot of rocks and dirt gets thrown up on my back foot. Overall the aesthetic of the bike and the ankles look a lot better. I have the crankcase and engine protectors which I did almost 11 months ago. I also have the SW motek frame sliders which I had installed around. The time of the crank case covers that they actually have already gotten their money’s worth. I dropped up like nearly a month ago I lost at the front brake.
Actually shifting the first gear and a huge torque jumped by left let out the clutch a lot earlier than I wanted to. I grab the front bake my hand cuz I got stuck in between here. Accidentally it’s a huge like acceleration in first gear 25 miles an hour and slammed on the front brake did a stop. I went back down but lost my footing and fell on the right side of my bike. All the weight has pretty much taken on the frame slider. The only other issue is that it also went on the exhausts of my exhaust hanger. It’s broken so I have a bunch of zip ties. I put the stainless steel zip ties holding the entire exhaust to the remains of the exhaust hanger.
Anyway, that was the small instances that happened and you can’t really see it right now. I’ll show you guys a little bit later but I put a blue Suzuki OEM rimsey cows on the bike and they look really snazzy. They really go with the bike and actually matches the same graphic that’s on the tail. I do plan them to put on a Yoshi Mira alpha tee exhaust whenever financially I can afford it. I make it a visor that should put in the front because after I took away the mirrors I didn’t realize that the mirrors actually provide a little bit of wind braking support. I didn’t realize then so I feel a lot more win on my shoulders.
Now, which isn’t too big of a deal my visibility is absolutely great. It’s like I have nothing in front of me and that’s pretty much it. I mean to compare commander in the future if the Yoshimi exhaust maybe needs it. I would like to extend the red line a little bit because I feel like this bike can rev up higher than the rev limiter supports. I can’t really tell what I’m gonna exactly do that but regardless let’s get straight into it. One year later how do I feel about this bike well in short I love it. I love it to death I actually had a chance to test ride a bunch of bikes. A few weeks ago at a dealership and probably about an hour away from him. I was able to test ride a 2018 Triumph Street Triple R I was able to test rider Ducati 797 monster. Ducati Super Sports and also a 2018 Kawasaki 650 Zed.
Additionally, about almost two months ago I test rode a 2018 Yamaha r6. It is my first proper crotch rocket that I’ve ever tested. After test-riding all of those bikes I still just like the best. It really does come down to the point that I made in my review video that this is the best bang for your buck. Like that you can get and it is such an experience it has a GSXR engine. I got it for a little under 8 grand this bike is really fast and I actually wanted to rebuked a comment that. I made on this flight that it doesn’t have enough low-end torque. I kind of made this realization whenever I test rode the Yamaha r6. This bike really feels like absolutely nothing down. It feels like I’ve never ridden the 250 but I could imagine that’s what a 250 feels like.
The throttle and nothing and then this bike to work like fourth gear fifty miles an hour Hanja torque. It’s very smooth power delivery this book has a ton of power 60 pounds-feet of torque. A lot of torque that really I don’t really see how you need much more on the street. Maybe a little bit more torque the Takagi Super Sport is it had a little bit less horsepower. It has 70-pound foot its board and I didn’t like the power delivering up. I mean down low whenever you kind of feel like you’re lugging the engine on this bike. You really don’t feel like you’ve lugged the engine when you’re down low a little bit footage. It doesn’t feel like the logging of attention like you do in a parallel tune.
A v-twin the riding position has been great I’ve been able to probably about a three-hour trip before. I am really kind of get tired of the bike it’d be three and a half four hours. It is comfortable there are more comfortable bikes like the Ducati SuperSport and the Triumph Street Triple. It is more comfortable bikes arrived that was a fact they’re also the tribe. It is also nearly 50% more expensive and Ducati is twice the price of the bike. You know comfort is kind of a subjective question and whenever you’re trying to make an entry-level bike comfort is one of the last things that you’re really worrying. The ergonomics of this bike are really good I really do appreciate the angle of the handlebars here cuz it feels short you can really lean into it.
It’s comfortable enough that you know you can’t go on long trips and you really don’t feel the weight on your wrists. After riding some other bikes the stock exhaust and the intake of this bike sound incredible. Being stock after owning it for a year I feel much more comfortable with it. I just feel much more natural I know how to distribute my weight correctly on the bars. I really have this bike figured out it feels like plenty of bikes to me. It had more power I feel like I wouldn’t be able to use it like I can on this bike.
On the topic of gas, this bike gets gas mileage whenever I’ve gone. Whenever I go on some casual trips with my mom I’ve been able to get about 50 55 miles per gallon. Relatively conservative on the engine but even when I’m pushing and I’m still getting about 40 45 miles per gallon. You know I hate whenever people pull up to the gas station and they don’t even fucking fill up their mine. I’ve done so you can see here took off the ugly meters here and put on these bar ends. Usually, move around and put the end caps I thought they got some extra bullets but it works out quite nicely. You can see that I’d put the rim decals there and I think it looks pretty nice.
