The tubeless dual-chamber system is like steroids for your tires. It provides 100 psi of protection and stability at the rim where you need it and massive low psi traction games where you want it. Today we’re coming at you with another bonus just like the TM behind us we have the 2017 Suzuki RMX450 at a glance. You might think that this Suzuki RMX450 motorcycle is identical to the motocross model but it’s definitely not. It is specifically built for an offroad trail ride. Although we’re putting this bike in with the competition model series. This bike is not designed to compete against the closed course competition model.
This bike is a trail motorcycle so we wanted to show it to you and as far as the Japanese manufacturers this is modern technology applied for off-road use with options like fuel injection and an electric start. It comes with an 18-inch rear wheel a headlight and a taillight and electric start. It has spring Forks in the front with the standard rear shocks that are valves for off-road. Riding a skid plate a kickstand speedometer that features an onboard digital display. The only thing this bike comes with that we would like to have on it is handguards for an off-road bike. We actually threw on some psycrow reflex handguards for the test. This bike may look like the motocross model but it’s definitely not going to be as aggressive in the power department.
It does have restrictions in the exhaust and in the airbox that make it legal for sale in the United States. It features a nonprogrammable black lock so we’ve had a little bit of time on this machine. Now and a couple of things to jump out at us the components are really good everything’s holding up fairly well. We really like the styling it has a racy look when it comes to the performance side of it. It is a trail bike it’s a mild-mannered machine and kind of a throwback to what four-strokes were about six years ago.
So we can really see how far some of the other manufacturers have come. This bike has a decent amount of compression braking making it feel heavier on the trails. It actually doesn’t start off like a light motorcycle. In our opinion if you’re looking for a competition motorcycle this probably isn’t where you want to go. If you’re looking for a friendly trail bike this is probably right up your alley.
