We’re gonna be doing 10 things I hate about my RMX250 Suzuki Dirt Bike. In other countries, you have the Suzuki rmx 250 and they were made until about 1998. It’s one, in particular, I mix 250 yes it was made in New Zealand which where I live. It wasn’t launched to the United States markets there are no parts for it you can’t buy any parts. For example, the chain slider right simple part you can’t buy them I can’t find any because they didn’t make enough of these bikes to have heaps apart. If you want parts you have to like adept other parts to make your own. What I ended up doing was having to drill and tap and the swingarm for this is 2009 rmz 250 chain slider. That’s the first thing I hate no aftermarket parts no stock parts no one stocks like. When I rebuilt this bike I had to find a piston I went to this weird shop we have in New Zealand. A generic black part shop and he just happened to have a stock one sitting on the shelf. I didn’t find that you can’t buy them on eBay or anything like that. The parts non-existent all the linkage parts had to find part numbers and source them from another buy it’s like errands and stuff.
The second thing I hate is you can’t find aftermarket parts I had to keep the stock exhaust system. I’ve powder-coated and painted it twice it rusts but I just keep doing it every time it wears out. Even though I clean it all the way through and it’s tranquil, and you can’t find its aftermarket. I’m not a fan of this exhaust system it’s just I don’t know I’d prefer like a chrome one or something that’s just not picky. That’s number two is the exhaust system.
Number three is the clutch cable routing. The cable goes down here and right beside the exhaust. Actually, it hits and down through here this supposed to go over the top. I got a screwdriver and tried to open it up to fit the speed clutch cable because it’s often snapped it. I have this Guiteau system where it’s like that hooks around and pulls down on the cable when it zip tie. It’s something welded up there to fix it eventually but for now, that’s just how it is we come around. The next thing I hate is the number four-five. I don’t know rear shock it’s not actually bad it’s just blown like we’re never a jump on the last ride. I heard this big like as I landed, it’s just like so squishy rooftop kind of blown. I’m not a fan of those things I like about my remix to 50s only made in Japan, New Zealand, and Australia. US market didn’t get it but it’s been a pretty good bike.
I’ve had it since I was 14 I’m 18 now so about four and a half years. I’ve owned it so I know this bike pretty well. The first thing that I really like about this bike is the adjustable power valve. I think it’s on this site and here you can actually adjust the power valve tighten. The spring is there to open later or early in the ribs so right now I have it set to fly open it. Let’s just have a free to ride the bike we can actually tighten it right up. I don’t know exactly how it works but you’ll get heaps of the bottom in power.
The top next thing I really like about this bike is the entire like handlebar setup. It has wrinkled fat bars I bought these secondhand like 50 bucks. I have our tricks bar rises these are like actually rise up a lot if you’re looking here they usually sit down. I’m really tall I’m 6 foot 2 so riding this thing is a bit of an issue. The risers fat bars and over here we have a pro taper it’s a prototype of contour clutch perch and lever. It’s ball bearing and it’s actually adjustable so you can adjust as I can never sitting up. I can adjust it all the way out if I want to. It’s just more comfortable it’s like one thing all day super easy.
The next thing is the bark Buster’s these are Chinese ones I bought them on eBay. They’ve been perfect like you can tell I’ve smashed this up a lot. It’s been absolutely good I hope they’re a good investment for the money it’s gonna be doing. What I really like about this bike is the front forks. There are conventional forks they are adjustable both at the top and the bottom for like various things. I’m not an expert I had them rebuilt and revolve for my weight. I am 80 kilos 75 at the time so they’re a little soft for now it’s alright they’ve got ray stick gold valves on them. These worked really well, it’s like tracks point where I want it. It’s a really good set up what I like about this bike is the cycler skull-faced number board. These were like a limited run I found a seller on eBay that was selling them because cycler themselves had stopped selling them. He had like six of them we bought one for our mix and then another couple for our XR collection.
Another thing around here is this carb is a 38-millimeter pwk air striking cub. It’s what’s used on modern 252 strokes likewise yz250 cr125 cats for them. You can’t buy anything for this bike it was just a really bad captain idle. This one huge power increase when I put them on. It started really well I don’t actually see it my bikes too idle. This carb huge huge performance increase also in the Reebok. we have boys and parades they’re a two-stage Reed, I bought those off eBay a while ago and those also open up the black a lot and it gives a bit more top-end grant. That’s about it for the induction system I don’t know if we quite made it.
